EVI has begun it's newest project. Project Fugitive! Stan Boyd has acquired a 2010 Camaro SS from Hank Graff Chevrolet of Davison, Michigan. We are to install our own EVI performance package to be sold at the Hank Graff dealership!

While driving this car home, I was surprised on how well the interior felt and looked in this new SS. Something you're not used to seeing in a Camaro. The car drove excellent down the road. Very responsive to the throttle and grabbed the road whenever I hit the gas or turned a corner. Very nice!

So naturally, as soon as we got it to the shop, we didn't even bother removing the window sticker because we had to get some baseline numbers from this ride! We put the new SS on the dyno to see what GM's 6.2L 425hp LS engine could do! It was a lot of fun playing with this new Camaro SS on the dyno. Below is video of the dyno run.

When it was all said and done, after some moderate tuning, this new affordable monster from GM put down 405rwhp and 425rwtq! Needless to say, we were very happy with the results and can't wait to start working on this beast.

Our next step is to equip American Racing 1¾ headers. These headers are 50 state legal and pass for emissions in any state. We also have a Magnuson Supercharger setup! This is going on right after the exhaust upgrade and is also 50 state legal.

It's rumored that these new 6.2L LS engines respond very well to modifications. We'll see if that's true. For every step we take in the process, we will dyno that phase to see what the difference is. We have our factory numbers now to use as a base. We'll be testing the SS after the header installation and then again after the supercharger setup. We hope to gain some respectable numbers from just a few simple modifications.

We'll throw these new modifications on in the next write-up. We will include details on how well the install of each modification, errors we found, pros and cons to the setup, and then finally the results! So check back soon for updates!
